AUTHOR GUIDELINES
A. Introduction
JET: Journal of Education and Teaching is a high-quality, open-access, peer-reviewed research journal published by Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Syariah Darussalam Bermi, West Lombok. The journal focuses on promoting scholarly work in the field of education and teaching, particularly those that explore pedagogical practices, educational innovation, curriculum development, and teaching strategies within diverse educational settings across Indonesia and Southeast Asia.
JET: Journal of Education and Teaching has been published online since June 1st, 2025. It is indexed in Google Scholar and Moraref.
This journal welcomes original research articles, critical reviews, and case studies from educators, researchers, practitioners, policy makers, and students across educational disciplines. The primary aim is to communicate current educational research and share innovative ideas in the realm of teaching and learning.
B. How to Write the Title, the Name, and the Authors’ Address

The title should be centered at the top of the first page.

Include authors’ names, affiliations, and addresses (maximum of 5 authors). Only the corresponding author’s email should be included.

All correspondence regarding the manuscript will be conducted via the corresponding author's email.

Collaborative articles involving international co-authors are highly encouraged.
C. The Manuscript General Guidelines

The manuscript must be an original, unpublished research article not under review elsewhere.
-
Manuscripts must be plagiarism-free (checked using Turnitin; similarity below 20%). The Turnitin report must be submitted alongside the manuscript.

Submission is conducted through the online system. Guidelines are detailed below.

Manuscript sections must include:

Manuscripts not following this format will be rejected.

Headings must be in bold title case. Subheadings should be bold italic.

Articles should be written in English using Book Times Newroman 11 pt, single-spaced, 6,500–7,000 words including abstract and references.

Use italic for foreign/uncommon terms. Indent each paragraph 11 mm, with no space between paragraphs.

Tables and figures must be placed within the text, center-aligned, and properly labeled. Use horizontal lines only, no vertical lines.
D. The Guidelines for the Manuscript Body Text

Title: Informative and concise (maximum 16 words), 13 pt, bold, centered.

Abstract: 200–250 words, Book Antiqua 10 pt, single spaced. If written in English, must also include an abstract in Bahasa Indonesia. Use one paragraph format.

Keywords: 4–5 keywords, Book Antiqua 10 pt.

Introduction: Background, literature review (state of the art), problem statement, and research gap. Cite sources appropriately.

Methods: Clearly explain data collection and analysis methods. Avoid lengthy theoretical descriptions.

Results and Discussion: Integrate findings and their implications. Use subheadings and visuals (tables, figures) as necessary. Highlight how data supports or challenges existing knowledge.

Conclusion: Summarize findings, relate back to the research question, mention limitations and suggestions for future research.

Acknowledgment: Mention individuals or institutions contributing to the research or funding.

References: Use minimum 30 references, 40% from primary sources (reputable journals). Use Chicago Manual of Style 17th edition via Mendeley.
E. Guidelines for Citations and References

Citations should follow the Chicago Manual of Style 17th Edition.

Use Mendeley for reference management.

All data or quotes must be cited appropriately.

Authors are encouraged to cite articles from Al-Ihkam: Jurnal Hukum dan Pranata Sosial as part of academic cross-referencing.
F. The Online Submission Guidelines
All manuscripts must be submitted via the online system. Follow these steps:

Register as an Author or Reviewer on the JET website.

Login and click “New Submission”.

Complete the submission steps:

Start: Choose Journal Section (Full Article), check all boxes.

Upload Submission: Upload your manuscript (.doc/.docx).
-
Enter Metadata: Fill in all author details, title, abstract, and keywords.
-
Upload Supplementary Files: Include Turnitin report, statement letters, etc.

Confirmation: Review all details, then click “Finish Submission”.
