SIMILARITY CHECK

The editorial board of Al-Balad : Jurnal Hukum Tata Negara dan Politik Islam is aware that plagiarism is unacceptable and therefore established the following policy stating specific actions (sanctions) when plagiarism/similarities are found in articles submitted for publication. Al-Balad : Jurnal Hukum Tata Negara dan Politik Islam will use Turnitin software to check the originality of the text in the article manuscript and the final version of the article ready for publication. A maximum of 25% similarity is allowed for submitted papers. If more than 25% of the similarity index is found, the article will be returned to the author for correction and resubmission.

Plagiarism Rate

Minor: A short section from another article is plagiarized with no significant data or ideas taken from another paper.
Action: A warning is issued to the author and requested to amend the text and properly cite the original source.

Intermediate: Most papers are plagiarized without proper inclusion of the original source.
Action: The submitted article is rejected and the author is prohibited from submitting other articles for one year.

Severe: Most papers are plagiarized involving the reproduction of original results or ideas presented in another publication.
Action: The article is rejected and the author is prohibited from submitting other articles for five years.

It is understood that all authors are responsible for the content of their submitted papers as they all read and understand the Copyright Notice. If sanctions are imposed due to plagiarism, all authors will be subject to the same sanctions.
